For decades a vehicle with a manual transmission required the driver to hunt for the grip point in the clutch pedal's travel from the floor in order to initiate forward motion. The Synchro-Clutch accomplishes this same action through movement of the shifter from neutral to first gear. By replacing the synchronizers inside of a contemporary manual transmission with internationally patent-pending components having clutch-like attributes the grip point is found with the hand by the addition of force through the shifting motion rather than by relieving the force on the clutch pedal after having it pressed to the floor.
